At DXC Spain we are looking for an SDN Network Engineer to join our team and work in an international proyect for an important Client.

Requirements:

• Education System Engineering or other relevant IT degree.

• Proven hands-on network engineering experience

• Deep knowledge of Cisco underlay switches.

• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., Leaf & Spine Topology, IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, VXLAN, EVPN)

• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model

• Experience with SDN Products (e.g., Nuage, NSX, CISCO ACI)

• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools

• Monitoring Tools (Netscout, CA Spectum, VMware VRNI, Arista Cloud Vision Portal)

• Capability of working under critical situations in a productive environment

Nice to have:

• Public Cloud experience, preferably in AWS, MS Azure,
• Solid scripting skills (e.g., Shell scripts, Python, Power Shell,)
• Cloud architectures (vCloud, Azure/AWS)
• Automation (AVD, Ansible)
• Experience in Agile Methodology (Kanban, SCRUM)
• Experience in Agile Tools (JIRA, Confluence,..)

Tasks:

• Install, configure, test and maintain the network infrastructure, switches, routers, also SDN elements like VMware NSX and different network management tools

• Proactively ensure the highest levels of network and infrastructure availability

• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with Support & Engineering Teams to implement those fixes

• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems

• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support

• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
