The Network Engineer performs advanced technical and professional work in the planning, design, implementation, and management of network and security solutions. This role also contributes to project management efforts across network initiatives. Working under the general supervision of the Network Services Manager, the Network Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, supplemented by 5 years of demonstrated ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot local and wide area networks. Project Management and leadership experience is desired. Technical certification is highly desirable.
