We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to ensure the stability, performance, and security of our on‑premise, cloud, and Kubernetes network environments. You will play a key operational role, working closely with international teams to support modern, hybrid infrastructure and continuously improve network operations.

Your profile

Duties and responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and support on‑premise, virtualized, cloud, and hybrid network environments across Cisco, Fortinet, Extreme, Azure, and AWS
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of network infrastructure, following defined operational and change management processes
  • Manage and operate firewall and network security platforms, including firewall rules, NAT policies, segmentation, and cloud‑native security controls
  • Support and troubleshoot Kubernetes networking (CNI operation, Network Policies, ingress/egress, pod‑to‑pod and external connectivity)
  • Operate and monitor hybrid connectivity solutions such as Site‑to‑Site VPNs, Client VPNs, ExpressRoute, and Direct Connect
  • Act as 2nd‑level support for network and connectivity incidents, analyzing escalations and resolving recurring operational issues
  • Monitor network environments using centralized tools, analyze logs, metrics, and traffic flows, and proactively identify risks
  • Execute network changes and lifecycle activities using Infrastructure as Code and Git‑based workflows
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, incident records, and operational procedures
  • Support disaster recovery testing, audits, and compliance activities
  • Collaborate with an international IT and platform team, contribute to standardization and automation initiatives, and participate in on‑call rotations

Required Qualifications, Experience & Competencies

Professional Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in network operations or engineering
  • Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, firewalls, load balancing
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure and/or AWS networking
  • Working understanding of Kubernetes networking
  • Experience troubleshooting across on‑prem, cloud, and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with ITSM processes and tools (e.g. Jira)
  • Experience operating IaC‑managed environments and Git workflows
  • Strong operational mindset with focus on stability, reliability, and documentation
  • Clear communication skills for technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Fluent English and Hungarian
  • Willingness to travel internationally (~10–20%)
  • Nice to have
  • Network certifications (CCNA, Fortinet, Extreme, or similar)
  • Experience with centralized network management or telephony systems
