This role is critical in maintaining and supporting network infrastructure for our clients, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet technologies, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity and performance issues
• Design and implement multi-ISP configurations with automatic failover for enterprise clients
• Collaborate with onsite field technicians to diagnose and resolve various network issues
• Manage and support Cisco Catalyst switches and Meraki switching infrastructure
• Administer and maintain Fortigate and Palo Alto firewalls
• Utilize FortiManager and Panorama for centralized firewall management
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot FortiClient and GlobalProtect VPN solutions
• Implement and troubleshoot IPSec VPN connections and tunnels
• Deploy and support Meraki wireless networks
• Monitor network performance and respond to alerts promptly
• Communicate daily with clients to provide updates, gather requirements, and resolve issues
• Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures
• Efficiently manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Provide remote support and guidance to field technicians during onsite implementations and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with team members to support infrastructure projects
• Ensure network compliance with security policies and best practices
• Provide technical support and escalation for network-related incidents

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Cisco Catalyst and Meraki switching platforms
• Proficient experience with Fortigate and Palo Alto firewalls
• Working knowledge of FortiManager and Panorama
• Experience with FortiClient and GlobalProtect VPN implementation and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with IPSec VPN configuration and troubleshooting
• Experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
• Proven experience setting up ISP connections with automatic failover for enterprise clients
• Experience with Meraki wireless solutions
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Great analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to work efficiently and deliver results under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for daily client interactions
• Ability to effectively collaborate with and guide field technicians remotely
• Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and network security
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent tasks
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• MSP (Managed Service Provider) experience
• Cisco ASA firewall experience
• Microsoft Azure networking experience
• CCNA certification
• Fortinet NSE (Network Security Expert) certification
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
