Responsibilities
Work to resolve and diagnose computer server issues at scale.
* Escalate issues and work with remote engineering teams.
* Work within rack lifecycle processes with a focus on helping build out and support cloud scale compute and storage environments.
* Work within Meta's ticketing system.
* Serve as first point of contact for break fix technicians.
* Maintain responsibility for assisting with projects (retrofits, new process details, etc.) and repairs throughout the data center.
* Understand and debug hardware and Linux OS related issues.
* Identify and help create documentation for the global data center knowledge base.
* Assist with process improvements and best practices in data center operations.
* Participate in on-call rotation (once a month on call for a week after hours, first point of contact).

Qualifications
Requires a Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Cyber Forensics, Security or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or infrastructure-related occupation
* Requires 2 years of experience in the following:
* Designing, deploying, and operating large scale networks
* Configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP-TE, VRRP, HSRP)
* Configuring and troubleshooting Multi-protocol BGP (MP-BGP)
* Network protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS)
* Experience working in a multi-vendor environment with hands-on experience with networking hardware
* Physical infrastructure design including structured cabling and fiber-optic cabling
* Oversee multiple projects simultaneously and delivering against deadlines
* Solving problems in a global team environment
* IPv4 and IPv6
