A Brief Overview

The Network Engineer 3 position is responsible for the implementation, monitoring and maintenance of Stormont Vail's LAN, WAN and WiFi networking infrastructure under direction of the Director of Infrastructure.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 6 years Related network experience. Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Must have good manual dexterity and keyboarding skills. (Required proficiency)
  • Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. (Required proficiency)
  • Must be able to view and read information on computer screens. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Network Associate - CISCO Preferred
  • Certified Network Associate - CISCO CCNP also preferred. Preferred

What you will do

  • Design, implement, monitor, and maintain: • Core networking infrastructure. • Campus, clinic and wide area networking infrastructure. • WIFI clinic networking infrastructure.
  • Maintain documentation and inventory of all aspects of network infrastructure
  • Manage, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot routers, switches, APs and all other network infrastructure
  • Performance & capacity planning across all areas of responsibility.
  • Disaster recovery planning across all areas of responsibility.
  • Demonstrate customer service mindset and ability to work effectively as a team with Help Desk, Systems Administrators and Security staff.
  • Possesses cognitive skills to providing creativity, problem solving, strategic thinking, pragmatism with learning ability in everyday activities.
  • Show dedication to delivering results on-time and on-budget.
  • Understand and adhere to Stormont change management policies.
  • High energy and results oriented. Passionate about technology.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer relationship skills and effective in decision-making, problem solving and influencing others.
  • Ability to think strategically about technology how platforms fit into our solutions matrix.

  • Develop design proposals, recommendations and justifications for new systems or upgrades & improvements to existing solutions.
