Job description

Barilla G. & R. Fratelli wants to recruit a Network & Communication Sr Analyst, within the Infrastructure & Communications unit based in Parma. The individual will report to the Network & Communications Sr Manager.

Job purpose

The role will contribute to the global network and communication infrastructure deployment and management, through the support to technical initiatives proposal and design, the management of local implementation projects and the support to tenders and suppliers management, in compliance with Group and regulatory IT standards and the assigned project budget.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the technical evolution of the network and communication infrastructures, through the proposition of technological ideas and innovations in support of the definition of technical evolution initiatives.
  • Support the design and development of the Group network and communication infrastructures, systems and support services, from both business needs and IT improvements projects, collaborating in the analysis, development and proposal of technical solutions.
  • Contribute to the design of network solutions in line with management direction.
  • Oversee the l deployment of network and communication projects.
  • Lead project implementation as project manager, in line with the manager’s recommendations.
  • Maintain up-to-date designs, standards, baselines, procedures, asset records, and supporting evidence for governance, operations, and audits.
  • Manage the deployment of local and global projects, coordinating assigned resources, budgets, and external providers to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage advanced troubleshooting, major incidents, root-cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Promote automation and observability through APIs, infrastructure as code, telemetry, logs and performance monitoring.
  • Support tender and supplier management by contributing to supplier scouting, selection, and evaluation, and by continuously monitoring compliance with service-level agreements in collaboration with Group Purchasing, IT Contracting & Compliance, and the external supplier certification firm.
  • Contribute to the effective management and continuous improvement of the network service operations through the coordination of the external providers, the control of the service levels observance and the expenses costs in alignment with the contractual agreements and Group Policies.
  • Contribute to defining, updating, and implementing network and communication architectures, with particular focus on network security across enterprise networks, cloud environments, and IT/OT interoperability and integration.
  • Ensure compliance with Group policies, ISO 27001 standards, data protection requirements, cybersecurity regulations, and audit controls.

Requirements

  • University degree in Electronics Engineering/Information Technology/Computer Science
  • 1-2 years previous experience of similar responsibilities in a structured company environment
  • Good Knowledge and understanding of network communication protocols and architectures
  • Proficient understanding of physical network infrastructure
  • Good knowledge of network technologies across LAN, WAN, collaboration, and network security, particularly:- Routing and switching technologies
  • Wi-Fi infrastructure
  • On-premises and cloud LAN and data center architectures
  • Common WAN architectures, solutions, and protocols
  • Network security architectures and solutions, including NGFW, WAF, VPN, NAC, AAA, ZTNA, and SASE/SIG
  • Unified communications, VoIP, and video conferencing architectures, solutions, and platforms
  • Common network performance monitoring and management tools
  • Common industrial automation and networking frameworks and protocols· One of the following certifications is required: Cisco CCNA, CCNP
  • One of the following certifications is preferred: Cisco CCNP collaboration, Microsoft Teams Administration
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Italian
  • Strong team-working attitude, problem solving and ability to work under pressure
  • Attitude to investigate and evaluate different solutions.
  • Availability to business trips (Italy and abroad)

Compensation Package

  • The gross annual base salary (RAL) offered will be no less than € 38.000, in accordance with the provisions of the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Industria Alimentare)
  • The Company is committed to offering a competitive compensation package and, following the selection process, may propose a final gross annual base salary above the stated level, commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications
  • The position's compensation package also includes a variable component and a competitive welfare and benefits offer. Further details will be provided at a later stage and will be subject to the applicable Company policies
