Reporting to the Manager - Security Network and Security Specialist will Design, implement and support AWS networking solutions including VPC’s, Transit Gateway, VPN’s, Direct Connect, routing and inter-region connectivity. Support major incident troubleshooting and operational response for networking and security issues impacting customer-facing platforms.

This role is in Bangalore, India (Quarterly once visit to the office for 2 weeks)

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership for cloud networking and security infrastructure across AWS and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Design, implement and support AWS networking solutions including VPC’s, Transit Gateway, VPN’s, Direct Connect, routing and inter-region connectivity.
  • Configure, manage and troubleshoot Fortinet technologies including FortiGate, FortiWeb, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
  • Support hybrid connectivity between AWS and private cloud platforms.
  • Investigate and resolve complex networking, routing, firewall, WAF and connectivity issues across global environments.
  • Support major incident troubleshooting and operational response for networking and security issues impacting customer-facing platforms.
  • Improve network security posture through segmentation, firewall optimization, WAF policy management, OWASP best practices and secure architecture practices.
  • Work closely with Cloud Architects and Engineering teams to translate business and technical requirements into scalable network solutions.

What We're Looking For

These are the must-have requirements for the role:

  • Strong experience in enterprise networking, cloud networking or network security engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS networking services including Transit Gateway, Site-to-Site VPN, VPC routing, Security Groups, Network ACLs, Route 53, and Direct Connect.
  • Strong operational experience with Fortinet technologies including FortiGate, FortiWeb, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex hybrid cloud networking, firewall and WAF issues in production environments.
  • Experience supporting highly available and multi-site network environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work through complex operational issues.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across engineering and operational teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Advanced Networking Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
  • Fortinet NSE certification (NSE4 or above).
  • Experience with AWS Organizations, multi-account networking and Landing Zone architectures.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with monitoring, SIEM and log analysis platforms.
  • Experience working within globally distributed cloud or SaaS operations teams.
  • Experience working with external providers, managed service partners, and vendor support teams during operational escalations and troubleshooting.
