This is a hybrid role; only local candidates will be considered. The Network Administrator will support the Office of Court Administration. This role performs highly complex, senior-level network administration work on the agency’s network infrastructure. Work involves planning, designing, monitoring, and integrating system components for data and voice networks, along with evaluating potential network enhancements. The position installs, maintains, or oversees the installation and maintenance of networks and network-related hardware, and serves as Tier III support for network-related service requests and incidents. The role operates under limited or minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment, and all work must be performed with a security mindset. Responsibilities Perform highly complex, senior-level network administration work on the Office of Court Administration’s network infrastructure. Plan and design system components for data and voice networks. Monitor and integrate system components across existing network hardware and software. Evaluate potential network enhancements. Install and maintain networks and network-related hardware. Oversee the installation and maintenance of networks and network-related hardware. Serve as Tier III support for network-related service requests and incidents. Work under limited or minimal supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment. Apply a security mindset to all work performed. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Current CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification. 5 years of experience leading the administration of an enterprise network with multiple remote locations. 3 years of experience implementing and maintaining site-to-site/IPsec tunneling. 3 years of experience configuring and managing a variety of network monitoring tools. 3 years of experience administering SAN architecture networks, such as SAN switches, routers, and bridges, and protocols such as iSCSI, FCoE, AoE, and FCP. 2 years of experience administering cloud networking. 1 year of experience administering networks in a virtualized environment. 1 year of experience in management of Aruba Network devices. Preferred Qualifications 3 years of experience coordinating or using vendor-provided support. 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. 1 year of experience with Aruba ClearPass and Aruba Central. Additional Requirements Candidates must currently reside in the Austin, Texas area; within 50 miles of the work location. Work outside normal business hours on weekends, evenings, and holidays may be required. Work Location and Schedule Location: Office of Court Administration, 205 W 14th St, Austin, TX 78701. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays. Work Arrangement: Hybrid – On Site and Telework.
