Network Administrator
We are seeking a Network Administrator to serve as operational support, management, administration, and ongoing enhancement of wired and wireless, cloud platform network services, and network security.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational support, management, administration, and ongoing enhancement of wired and wireless, cloud platform network services, and network security.
- Perform tactical repair of network devices; perform troubleshooting in the field as appropriate.
- Plan, coordinate, and perform maintenance, patching, and upgrades as needed following appropriate change management processes.
- Daily monitoring, including verification of the security, compliance, privacy, performance, and availability of all network resources.
- Ensure the availability and suitability of the systems and software required to fulfill the teaching mission of the College.
- Participate in incident management response.
- Remain current with new network technologies and research and develop pilot platforms to test and validate innovative technologies.
- Maintain inventory of all network infrastructure; estimate lifecycle replacement costs and prepare budget forecasts; plan, coordinate and oversee all device upgrades and installation.
- Provide secondary support for Network Services personnel and team-supported technologies, including VMware ESX, SAN, VDI, Windows Server OS, DNS; provide Tier 2/3 support for network systems and platforms to end-users.
- Rotating on-call schedule with ability to respond to campus within 1-hour during on-call rotation, including being the single point of contact for problem resolution with campus-wide network services occurring outside regular business hours.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field plus 9 months of experience with the following:
- Daily network administration within the education industry;
- Manage and troubleshoot L2 & L3 networks, wired and wireless with VLAN segmentation, including installation and OS upgrades;
- Enterprise class controller-based Wi-Fi access points; configure and maintain Next Generation Firewall including access policies, NAT, DHCP, and VPN;
- Network automation scripting for configuration and alerting on network devices;
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for troubleshooting and resolving endpoint network connectivity issues.
- Willingness and ability to respond to campus within 1-hour during on-call rotation.
