Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Executes various systems procedures, prints and distributes reports associated with the procedures
  • Maintains and troubleshoots the systems personal computers
  • Develops and maintains a computer hardware inventory system
  • Insures that users of system software and computer equipment are properly trained
  • Maintains and troubleshoots the systems switches and routers to ensure proper network communication between all facilities and the internet
  • Maintains and troubleshoots the Email system of the company
  • Maintains and troubleshoots the company servers and the Active Directory schema
  • Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures
  • Configure, monitor, operate, and troubleshoot routed and switched networks.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain WAN, LAN, NAT, VPN, ACLs, ACI, VLANS, IPV4, WLAN administration, static routing, EIGRP, BGP, Palo Alto firewalls, and other equipment as necessary.
  • Performs complex analysis of hardware and software configurations to ensure Audit and Regulatory compliance.
  • Document non-routing and technically complex solutions.
  • Align technical solutions with the needs of the business.
  • Participate in operational network projects.
  • Collaborate with other team members to help solve problems which arise.
  • Monitor ticket queues and troubleshoot issues as assigned.

Education:

  • BS Degree with a concentration of course work in information systems or computer science from an accredited institution or equivalent education from a technical school.

Experience: N/A

Skills:

  • Basic typing proficiency
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
  • 5+ Years of networking/system support experience in a corporate environment (network administration and/or system administration role)
  • Strong background in Cisco, Meraki and Palo Alto (firewalls, switching, and routers) Some experience in SDWAN is desired.
  • CCNA, CCNP certification a plus
  • Strong PC and technical background
  • Windows Server 2008 to 2016 proficiency
  • VMWARE experience desired
  • Some Azure infrastructure experience would be a plus
  • Authorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and/or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands:

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may also be required to work in hot temperatures.
