At NEP UK, our Audio Engineers help bring some of the biggest live sporting, entertainment and broadcast productions to audiences around the world. From Premier League football and Wimbledon to The Grand National and major entertainment programmes, our teams deliver the people, technology and technical expertise that keep complex live productions performing at their best.
We’re looking for experienced Audio Engineers at Guarantee level to join our Audio team.
This is an opportunity to take genuine technical ownership of audio delivery on major live productions, working across our outside broadcast fleet, flypacks and remote production environments. You’ll be trusted to prepare, configure and operate sophisticated audio systems, make critical technical decisions and solve problems when it matters most – live and on air.
You’ll work alongside some of the most experienced engineers in the industry, while continuing to develop your own expertise as broadcast technology and production workflows evolve.
What will you be doing?
As a Guarantee Audio Engineer, you’ll take responsibility for the technical delivery of audio on assigned productions, from preparation and testing through to the live broadcast.
You’ll:
You’ll be trusted to use your experience and judgement to make the right call, while knowing that you’re part of a wider team of specialists who are always there to support one another.
The world of broadcast audio is constantly moving forward, and you’ll have the opportunity to work with sophisticated systems across both established and emerging workflows.
Your experience may include:
Experience with systems from manufacturers such as Calrec, Lawo, Riedel, RTS or Yamaha would be beneficial, but we’re more interested in your technical capability, judgement and real-world live production experience than a particular equipment list.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced broadcast audio professional who can operate independently, take ownership and bring confidence to a live production environment.
You’ll bring:
Technical knowledge is only part of being a great Guarantee Engineer.
You’ll be someone who:
Our culture is built around four values: Reliable, Ethical, Innovative and One Team.
For our engineers, that means being someone others can depend on, communicating openly, doing the right thing, looking for better ways to work and supporting the people around you.
You’ll be expected to plan ahead, take initiative, solve problems constructively and consistently deliver the high standards our clients and production teams rely on.
What’s in it for you?
You’ll work on some of the most recognised live sporting, entertainment and broadcast productions in the UK and beyond.
Every production brings different technical challenges, giving you the opportunity to apply your experience in new environments and keep building your expertise.
You’ll have exposure to sophisticated broadcast audio systems, IP-based technologies and evolving remote production workflows.
As the industry changes, so will the technology you work with, giving you the opportunity to keep learning and develop the skills needed for the future of live production.
Guarantee level doesn’t mean standing still.
You’ll have access to experienced technical colleagues, knowledge sharing, mentoring and structured learning, alongside our online learning platforms and support for relevant professional qualifications and development.
There are opportunities to broaden your technical experience, deepen your specialism and progress towards Senior Audio Engineer, Lead Engineer and other technical leadership roles.
At NEP, some of the most valuable learning happens between engineers. You’ll be part of a team where people share knowledge, solve problems together and help develop the next generation of broadcast professionals.
As an experienced engineer, you’ll also have the opportunity to pass on your own knowledge and experience, helping others develop while continuing to grow yourself.
What does success look like?
Success in this role means becoming someone that production teams and clients have complete confidence in.
You’ll be able to independently prepare and deliver complex audio systems, anticipate potential problems, make confident decisions under pressure and provide calm technical leadership throughout a live broadcast.
Over time, you’ll become not only a trusted technical specialist, but someone who helps raise the capability of the wider engineering team and contributes to the development of the technology and workflows we’ll use tomorrow.
Role: Audio Engineer – Guarantee Level
Contract: Permanent
Location: Deployed across client projects, with attendance at Gemini House, Bracknell required for job preparation and base operations when needed.
This is primarily a deployed role, so flexibility to travel and work varied schedules is essential to support live productions.
