Job Description


The Neon Kitty Concession Worker is responsible for providing outstanding guest service in a fast-paced retail food and beverage environment. This position supports daily operations by stocking and merchandising retail snacks and beverages, processing sales transactions, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and preparing grab-and-go food items. Responsibilities include light food preparation such as reheating, assembling, packaging, labeling, and displaying food products according to company recipes and health department guidelines. The Concession Worker ensures guests receive friendly, efficient service while helping maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bodega that delivers a convenient and enjoyable experience.
 
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Graton Resort & Casino standards, policies, and procedures.
3. Provide friendly, prompt, and professional guest service while assisting customers with product selections and purchases.
4. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, process cash and credit card transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
5. Stock, replenish, and merchandise snacks, beverages, grab-and-go foods, and retail products to maintain an attractive sales floor.
6. Prepare food items including instant ramen noodles and steamed dumplings. Using approved procedures, including reheating, assembling, portioning, packaging, labeling, and displaying products.
7. Monitor product quality, freshness, temperatures, and expiration dates; remove and report products that do not meet quality standards.
8. Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health department, and company standards. 
9. Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, equipment, display cases, counters, shelves, and guest areas.
10. Receive, organize, rotate, and store inventory using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methods.
11. Monitor stock levels and communicate inventory, product, and supply needs to leadership.
12. Assist with opening and closing duties, including stocking, cleaning, cash reconciliation, and securing work areas.
13. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for guests and team members.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form. Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
2. Minimum one (1) year concession, fast food, or restaurant experience, preferred.
3. Must be at least 21 years of age.
4. Must possess or obtain a Responsible Beverage Service State Certification.
5. Must possess or obtain a California Food Handler Certification.
6. Ability to handle a flexible work schedule, working weekends, holidays, and all shifts including graveyard.

This job has the following physical requirements:
1. Dexterity: full use of arms and hands to hold, grab, pick up objects up to 7 hours/ day 88% of shift
2. Standing: unassisted up to 7 hours/day for 88% of the shift
3. Walking: up to 7 hours/day for 88% of the shift
4. Bending: 2 hours/day for 25% of the shift
5. Twisting: 2 hours/day for 25% of the shift
6. Climbing: including ladders, less than 1 hour/day for 13% of the shift
7. Kneeling: 1 hour/day for 13% of the shift
8. Squatting: 1 hour/day for 13% of the shift
9. Carrying: full trays of food & beverages overhead- up to 25 lbs. for 2 hours/day for 25% of the  shift
10. Lift/Carry/Pull: up to 50 lbs. up to 1 hour/day for 13% of the shift
11. Push: up to 100 lbs. using a pushcart up to 1 hour/day for 13% of the shift
12. Reaching: above the shoulders with the use of arms for 1 hour/day for 13% of the shift
