We are working closely with Southern Housing to assist with the appointment of a Neighbourhood Services Operative, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.88 - £16.64 per hour

Summary:

Southern Housing is looking for a Neighbourhood Services Operative – Housing to support the delivery of high-quality estate and neighbourhood services. The role will involve bulk waste collection, general waste clearance, litter picking and void property clearance, helping to maintain clean, safe and well-kept residential estates.

The successful candidate will work directly with residents and colleagues to provide an efficient, professional and customer-focused service while following all relevant health, safety, environmental and road transport requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Drive to housing estates and carry out non-domestic refuse and bulk waste collections in line with schedules and service standards.
• Attend and clear void properties when required.
• Carry out waste collections in a safe, neat and tidy manner, including cleaning up any spillages.
• Carry out litter picking and general estate maintenance duties as required.
• Operate tools, machinery and company vehicles safely and responsibly.

Essentials:

• Experience in bulk waste, general waste and void property clearance.
• Valid UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement.
• Ability to drive company vehicles safely as required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents and external organisations.
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team and under instruction.
