Job Title: Neighbourhood Coordinator

Type: Temporary Contract - 6 weeks (with potential extension)

Location: Cardiff and South Wales surrounding areas

Rates: £18.21 - £23.73

Hours: Full Time 35 hours per week

BRC are working closely with a housing association in Cardiff who are recruiting for a Neighbourhood Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity where you can make a difference to people and their communities.

You’ll predominately work in the community, visiting residents in their homes.

As a Neighbourhood Coordinator you will manage sign-ups, tenancy changes,

property improvement requests, and assist with residents as they come to the end of their tenancy. This is an active and people-focused role, providing an excellent service to the residents and making sure they sustain healthy tenancies.

MUST HAVE:

  1. Full driving licence and access to transport for business purposes
  2. An enhanced DBS that was processed within 1 year or on the update service

Duties

  • Working closely with the Neighbourhood Officers to ensure that tasks from them are managed efficiently.
  • Case management and community action plans. You will be responsible for low-level tenancy management incidents and cases, working in partnership with customers and stakeholders to remedy, support and enforce to help contract holders to better understand and sustain their tenancies.
  • Developing and maintaining organised systems will be integral to efficiently prioritising and managing tasks. You will also contribute to project work as required and address ad-hoc requests effectively.
  • Managing consultations and analysing data to addressing low-level anti-social behaviour cases, you’ll remain committed to adhering to policies and procedures while prioritising residents’ needs. Such support will extend throughout the entirety of their tenancy.
  • Managing tenancy sign-ups and transfers, whether conducted in person or remotely, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for residents.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in social housing or a related sector; supporting a variety of people from different backgrounds and with different needs.
  • Confident self-starter with a calm and flexible attitude, responsive to meet the needs of the team and the business.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office packages, with strong numerical and written skills.
  • Competent and committed to the delivery of exceptional customer service, treating all customers with equally high standards of respect, dignity and compassion.
  • Ability to make reasoned judgements and decisions.
  • Ability to meet work objectives through excellent prioritisation, organisation and time management skills.
