Job Description

Position Summary

Acuren is currently seeking NDT UT Level 1 Technician – IRATA Rope Access to support projects across our Central region. If you’re looking to work in a dynamic industrial environment with strong opportunities for growth and continuous learning, we’d like to hear from you.

  • Position is based locally in Sarnia ON.
  • IRATA Rope Access certification or willingness to obtain is required
  • Candidate must be local or willing to relocate
  • Salary range CA$42.05 to CA$45.02/hr depending on certifications as per the QCCC Agreement

Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasonic testing (UT) inspections on piping, welds, vessels, and other industrial components
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate ultrasonic testing equipment in accordance with approved procedures
  • Identify, evaluate, and document indications, discontinuities, or defects
  • Interpret inspection results and prepare accurate reports and documentation
  • Ensure inspections meet applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and company procedures
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure tools are in proper working condition
  • Work safely in industrial environments while following all site and company safety requirements
  • Communicate inspection findings clearly with supervisors, clients, and other team members

Requirements

  • CGSB UT Level 1 Certification
  • IRATA Rope Access certification or willingness to obtain is required
  • Strong work ethics
  • Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients
  • Exceptional safety and quality awareness
  • Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively
  • Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level
  • Valid driver's license
  • IRATA training or willingness to obtain is an asset
