As a Direct Support Worker with Outlook, you will support people living with disability to build independence, achieve their goals and participate in their community. Working with clients who have physical, intellectual and psychosocial disabilities, you will provide personalised, person centred support that promotes choice, dignity and quality of life.
We currently have both Casual and Part Time opportunities available. We ask that applicants have broad availability; however, we are committed to offering flexibility and will work with you to accommodate your existing commitments. Exciting news - Pay rates for Home Care staff will increase from 1 December.
This role includes hands on support for people with disability to live safely, independently and achieve their individual goals. You will provide personal care and daily living support, including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and meal preparation. Depending on client needs, you may also support with household tasks, medication assistance, transport, community participation and social connection. You will work with people who have complex support needs, including implementing Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs), responding to behaviours of concern, applying positive behaviour support and
de-escalation strategies, and maintaining client safety and wellbeing. Every shift provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while supporting people to live life on their own terms.
