Job Description

Encorus Group is seeking an NDE Technician II to join our Nondestructive Examination (NDE) team. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of inspection procedures, industry standards, and quality requirements. The successful candidate will perform inspections independently, prepare detailed reports, and contribute to a wide range of projects involving structural steel, weldments, and other critical components. This position is based out of our West Seneca, NY office and supports projects throughout Western New York and surrounding regions.

In this role, you will perform nondestructive examinations and inspections on structural steel, weldments, and other components in both field and industrial environments. We are looking for motivated individuals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and working independently while supporting a variety of projects across multiple industries.

Responsibilities:
• Perform nondestructive examinations using methods such as Visual Testing (VT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Radiographic Testing (RT), based on certification level and project requirements.
• Conduct structural steel inspections, weld inspections, and special inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Accurately document inspection findings and prepare detailed field reports.
• Operate, maintain, and verify the proper functioning of NDE equipment.
• Communicate inspection results, field observations, and project updates with project managers, clients, and team members.
• Follow established testing procedures and quality assurance requirements.
• Assist senior technicians with advanced testing methods and specialized inspections as needed.
• Maintain compliance with company safety policies and applicable industry regulations.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients while representing Encorus professionally in the field.


Requirements:
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience performing nondestructive testing, quality inspections, or related industrial inspection services.
• Current Level II certification in at least one of the following methods: RT, PT, MT, or VT.
• Working knowledge of NDE procedures, inspection techniques, and applicable industry standards.
• Ability to perform routine inspections independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in industrial, manufacturing, and construction environments.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a motor vehicle for field inspections and project support.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client project sites as required.
• Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, working at heights, and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).


Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with structural steel inspections and welding inspections.
• Additional industry certifications relevant to inspection and testing services.


Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr. Actual compensation will be based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, certifications, and experience.

The regulated building materials group manages environmental and hazardous materials in New York, Vermont, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Services include inspection, sampling, project design, air monitoring, laboratory analysis, and oversight of renovation and demolition projects to ensure compliance with contracts and regulations.
