Job Description

Nashua Community College is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; strong academic background is required. Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in classroom or online instruction.

We have a need for instructors for the following course(s) in our Aviation Department:

For Fall of 2025

Freshmen Class:

General Aviation Maintenance Topics ( Classes 1-2 days a week (6-7 hours), 16 weeks- Full Term)

Seniors:

Powerplant Topics(Classes 1-2 Day a week (7-8 hours), 16 weeks- Full Term)

Evening Class:

Advanced Airframe Topics (Classes 1-2 Days a week 4-10pm, or Saturdays 8am-noon)

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or technical school with major study aviation technology, education, business administration, engineering or related field.

Experience: Six (6) years of teaching experience in the aviation technology field or six (6) years of military or FAA experience in Air Traffic Control.

License/Certification: FAA or Military Air Traffic Control certification

Preferred Qualifications/Certifications:FAA instructor experience, Recent Air Traffic Control experience, Adjunct Teaching experience.

The salary range for this position is $825-$975 per contact hour. The rate will be determined by the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
