Snowsports Instructor Hakuba

We are currently looking for certified snowboard instructors to join our small team in Hakuba. Operating across the valley this role will keep you moving and requires autonomy within your day-to-day teaching. We’re looking for candidates who are experienced,assertive and approachable. If you hold a certification with an accepted snowsports organization and have experience teaching at a recognized ski and snowboard school, we want to hear from you! NBS has full season (Dec – March) positions available.

Employment Dates and Working Hours

Full Season contract dates: 7th December, 2026 – 31st March, 2027

Short Season contract dates: 7th December, 2026 – 14th February, 2027

As with any seasonal work, hours and dates of work are snow and customer dependent.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing concierge level guest experiences from their front door to the slopes.
• Teaching skiing or snowboarding to guests of all ages.
• Guiding guests in identifying the best lesson options for themselves and family members.
• Assertive decision making regarding best terrain options for the conditions and guests abilities.
• Fostering repeat business by delivering exceptional lessons that leave a lasting impression on our guests.
• Helping wherever needed within SkiJapan or NBS Rentals, working closely with the Hakuba Manager.

Requirements:

• Level 2 qualifications or higher.
• Previous teaching experience from a recognized ski and snowboard school.
• Available for work before the 20th of December.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills (fluent English) – Chinese language skills would be a bonus!
• A positive and adaptable mindset, coupled with strong teamwork skills.
• Capability to remain professional and courteous, even in high-pressure environments
• Your own ski/snowboard equipment including helmet.
• MUST hold or be able to acquire International Driver’s License.
