MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Navy Combat Systems Trainer to join our team in San Diego, CA. This is a full-time onsite position.

As a trainer on the COMNAVSURFPAC Readiness Assistance Training Team (RATT), you will provide timely direct support to ships and enhance shipboard proficiency and self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct comprehensive material condition assessments, review, and assess combat systems programs and preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.

  • Provide classroom and deckplate, on-the-job training to Sailors on proper and safe operations, maintenance, and management of combat systems onboard ships homeported in San Diego, Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, and Japan.

  • Travel up to 25% of the time in support of shipboard training, to include international travel

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent education

  • 20+ years of experience with the technical aspects of the operations and maintenance of AEGIS or Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) Combat Systems suites, as well as Navy network and communications systems, supporting systems, and associated shipboard system interfaces

  • Direct operational and maintenance experience, within the last 5 years, with the operations and maintenance of Navy electronic warfare and countermeasures systems currently employed in the Fleet.

  • Combat Systems Officer of the Watch (CSOOW) letter

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Must be able to maneuver on deckplates aboard ships in port, to include ascending and descending ladders.

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.



The projected compensation range for this position is $77,200.00-$128,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
