Locations: Reading, Oxford, Basingstoke

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

Hybrid role with a blend of office-based, remote and outreach working, including employer visits and community engagement, with business travel reimbursed in line with company policy

As a Navigator, you’ll be the single, trusted point of contact for participants throughout their journey towards improved wellbeing, confidence, stability and, where appropriate, employment.

Using a person-centred, trauma-informed and health-informed approach, you’ll build strong relationships, understand each person’s individual circumstances and help them identify practical steps towards their goals. From their first warm handover through to in-work support and a planned hand back, you’ll provide consistent encouragement, coaching and support.

You’ll connect participants with community services, health and wellbeing provision, training and employment opportunities, working alongside partner organisations to make sure they receive the right support at the right time.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acting as the single, consistent point of contact for participants, building trusted relationships that encourage engagement, confidence and progress towards individual goals
• Receiving referrals through a warm handover process and ensuring participants feel welcomed, informed and supported from the outset
• Completing holistic, person-centred assessments that explore health, wellbeing, confidence, skills, employment aspirations and wider circumstances
• Developing personalised support plans that reflect each participant’s needs, strengths and goals
• Providing health-informed behaviour change coaching to build motivation, resilience, self-efficacy and readiness for employment or wider progression
• Helping participants identify barriers, recognise their strengths and develop practical strategies to improve confidence, wellbeing and personal stability
• Connecting participants with community services, health and wellbeing provision, peer support, training and other relevant resources
• Coordinating support across health, community, employment and other partner organisations where required
• Supporting participants to explore volunteering, training, work experience and employment opportunities, including engaging with employers where appropriate
• Providing ongoing in-work support to help participants navigate workplace challenges, sustain employment and continue progressing towards their longer-term goals

What You’ll Bring

• Experience within supported employment, Individual Placement and Support (IPS), disability employment, health and wellbeing, social care, coaching, employability or VCSE environments
• Demonstrable experience of building trusted relationships and supporting people experiencing complex barriers relating to health, wellbeing, confidence, disability or social circumstances
• Experience using person-centred, trauma-informed, health-informed and strengths-based approaches, with the ability to tailor support to individual needs and circumstances
• Experience of behaviour change coaching, motivational techniques and goal-focused support that enables people to make sustainable progress
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with participants, colleagues and external partners
• Experience of coordinating multi-agency support and working collaboratively with health, community and employment partners would be desirable
• Knowledge of local support services, community assets and pathways that can help people improve their wellbeing, stability and employment prospects would be desirable
