The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Naval Architect Intern in our Washington, DC office to perform design and analysis of new and existing ships and ship systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and analyze new ships and ship system concepts.
• Develop designs for current and conceptualized ships, systems and equipment. Use design software to prepare plans, drawings and analytical models.
• Support evaluation of designs for feasibility.
• Analyze critical elements or performance of the design using analytic tools. Prepare reports of results and conclusions.
• Identify and apply regulatory and customer standards, commercial and military standards, as well as classification society rules, to ship designs and modifications.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Currently pursing a Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Ocean Engineering
• Understanding of ship system performance assessment and prediction methods, especially utilizing computer assisted design (CAD) and computer aided engineering (CAE) software in the design process.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills to work with project teams and stakeholders.
• Must be a US citizen and have ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Skills in Microsoft Office
• Good written and verbal (English) communication skills.

Pay Range

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
