Working Hours: Fulltime Permanent or open to Part-Time 3 days min per week

Your duties will include:

• Conduct weed control using manual, chemical, and mechanical methods
• Identify and remove invasive and priority weed species
• Manage vegetation to maintain required rail corridor clearances
• Remove native vegetation where required for rail safety and set-back requirements
• Safely use hand tools, brush cutters, sprayers, herbicides, and machinery
• Follow rail safety procedures, environmental legislation, and council guidelines
• Monitor and report weed growth, vegetation conditions, and completed works
• Maintain records of work completed and herbicide use

To be successful in this role, you might have:

• A Current Drivers’ licence and own transport
• National Police Check
• White Card (required or willing to obtain)
• RISI/RIW Ticket (preferred or willing to obtain)
• Chem Cert preferred
• Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management or Bachelors (Highly Desirable)
