Job Description

What's the role?

We are looking for a Native Content Specialist to join Suddenly, a News Corp-owned content marketing agency.

The role will be crucial in producing high-quality engaging, compliant advertorial content across print and digital platforms. Acting as the engine room for native content production, this position demands a meticulous eye for detail, a solid foundation in copywriting, and the ability to navigate highly regulated environments.

Reporting to the Lead Partnerships Editor, the Native Content Specialist will interpret briefs to craft compelling editorial storytelling, build articles in the CMS, and manage visual, social and video assets. This role is ideal for a junior-to-mid level writer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced agency environment and is focused on execution and honing their craft.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Execution (50%)

  • Create engaging, high-quality native advertorial content across digital and print, aligned with brand voice.

  • Turn client briefs into compelling, reader-first content that balance editorial integrity with commercial objectives.

  • Ensure all content meets brand guidelines and complies with relevant industry regulations.

  • Deliver polished, accurate copy with strong attention to detail and minimal errors.

Digital Production & Asset Management (35%)

  • Build and publish content in the CMS to a high standard, ready for publication.

  • Format articles and embed multimedia elements including video and interactive content.

  • Source and manage imagery and assets in line with brand and platform requirements.

  • Support sponsored content execution across video and social channels.

Collaboration & Workflow (15%)

  • Work closely with editorial, design, and client teams to deliver high-quality content outcomes.

  • Respond to feedback efficiently and implement revisions accurately.

  • Communicate clearly on timelines, priorities, and potential risks.

Who are you?

  • 3+ years of proven writing experience in copywriting, journalism, or content marketing (advertorial or branded content experience is a strong plus)

  • Strong understanding of how to translate commercial briefs into engaging, editorial-led content

  • Experience working in or writing for highly regulated environments (health, wellness, pharma, or finance), with a clear understanding of compliance and claims

  • Exceptional proofreading skills, an eye for formatting, and the ability to follow strict style guides

  • Extremely high attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy

  • Highly organised, with strong workflow and prioritisation skills

  • A team player who takes direction and feedback well

  • Calm, adaptable, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced agency environment

  • Client-first mindset with a willingness to adapt to changing needs and priorities

Technical skills

  • Hands-on experience building content in CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) to a publish-ready standard is desirable

  • Familiarity with sourcing, selecting, and formatting visual assets for digital and print

  • Comfortable managing media uploads and embedding digital tools and videos
