About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on National Yard & Inventory Lead to drive inventory accuracy, yard standards and operational consistency across our national branch network.

Reporting to the National Warehouse Manager, this role is responsible for delivering our approved warehouse and yard framework at ground level across branches nationwide. Through extensive travel, you will work directly with branch teams to reconcile assets and inventory, establish systems and processes, embed national standards and improve operational performance.

This is a highly autonomous role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems at the source, working hands-on in operational environments and creating lasting improvements across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct branch asset and inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Lead stocktakes, stock counts and inventory audits across the branch network.
• Implement and standardise yard layouts, stock locations and inventory processes.
• Embed warehouse management system procedures and national standards.
• Drive compliance with 5S, Lean and visual management principles.
• Deliver coaching and practical training to branch teams.
• Support branches through operational transitions and process improvements.
• Monitor compliance and implement corrective actions where required.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting on reconciliation outcomes and branch performance.
• Work closely with the National Warehouse Manager and Asset & Inventory team to improve national inventory accuracy.

About You

You are a practical and solutions-focused operational professional who enjoys working in fast-paced environments and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Experience in warehousing, yard operations, stock control or inventory management.
• Strong experience conducting stocktakes and reconciling physical inventory to system records.
• Confidence using ERP, inventory or warehouse management systems.
• The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A willingness to coach, influence and hold teams accountable to standards.
• Excellent organisation and problem-solving abilities.
• A current driver's licence and the ability to undertake extensive national travel.
