The National Trainer is responsible for design, development, planning, delivering, evaluating, and recommending engaging, high-quality training programs and strategies across the organization. The role supports nationwide teams by providing assessment of organizational training needs, expert instruction, co-developing curriculum, and consulting with leadership to align training and business goals that builds technical expertise, reinforces safe work practices, and supports a services-based approach. The position requires independent decision-making, subject-matter expertise, and the ability to manage training initiatives with minimal supervision. National Trainers will partner with business leaders in their regions to evaluate performance metrics, develop training interventions intended to improve those metrics, and exercise independent judgment in adapting training solutions to material business needs.

stimated Salary: $75,000 to $95,000 annually based on qualifications and experience.

Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, and responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training programs such as:
    • Hands-on training for the installation, commissioning, and repair of commercial laundry appliances with associated payment systems
    • Technical, Safety, Procedural, and Customer-Service training to employees and fellow training representatives
    • Operation, commissioning, installation, and repair of Commercial Laundry appliances
    • New Product Introduction (NPI) training
    • Train-the-trainer courses to branch level training representatives
    • Cross-training other trainers to standardize teaching quality
    • Customer Experience and Customer Satisfaction training content and incorporate it into all technical training programs where possible
    • Other training as may become necessary
  • Provide independent judgement and discretion in designing and delivering training programs that are tailored by the instructor to regional needs and business objectives
  • Deliver engaging training through multiple modalities: in-person, virtual, webinars, academies, and train-the-trainer programs
  • Consult and assist in the creation of interactive media assets for improved field performance
  • Interpret OEM products and associated documentation for incorporation into “WASH Pro” training programs
  • Define and monitor program-success measures, including training effectiveness, and operational gaps; and recommend improvements. Analyze results; identify root causes of program gaps; and independently recommend corrective actions and longer-term improvement priorities to business leaders
  • Conduct audits of branch-led training sessions to evaluate whether training goals are achieved or to make recommendations for improvement
  • Evaluate trainer performance & Train-the-Trainer session effectiveness, identify gaps to recommend and implement improvements
  • Conduct Field Ride-Alongs to assess and evaluate technician skill levels or identify gaps, adherence to procedural practices, and compliance with company safety practices; conduct remedial or targeted training programs as required
  • Partner with business leaders and subject-matter experts to align training content to organizational goals
  • Assess and Incorporate “Customer-Service” practices into technical training programs to ensure “Industry Leading Service” culture is promoted throughout
  • Collaborate with content creation experts and provide subject matter expertise for the development and creation of presentations, job-aids, and documentation to enable WASH/Coinamatic/Hercules audiences to be successful with the full suite of OEM products within the company portfolio
  • Ensure safety practices and procedures are incorporated into all training programs
  • Attend OEM training for knowledge transfer and tailoring course to employee audiences
  • Keep accurate training attendance, post course feedback, and activity tracking records
  • Travel outside of regions for Audits, Cross Training, OEM training, and content development
  • Extensive travel within regions to conduct Branch upskilling and Train-the-Trainer courses
  • Serve as liaison between training, operations, and leadership teams
  • Maintain expertise in industry trends, best practices, and organizational systems
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualification Requirements:

  • 5+ years of related Operations experience (service, installation, production) and/or bachelor’s degree in education, Technical Training, organizational development, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required
  • Requires independent judgement and discretion in developing, designing and delivering training programs
  • Strong communication, presentation, coaching, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Comfort with public speaking to audiences of varying sizes
  • Ability to work independently to meet business leaders needs for training services
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects with moving deadlines
  • Working knowledge using Microsoft programs (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Experience delivering virtual training using MS Teams
  • Ability to travel extensively (50 – 70%)
  • Good driving record to allow for regional and cross regional travel utilizing rental vehicles or company fleet vehicles
  • Multilingual Skills may be required for some regions with large multilingual workforces or as regulated by Province

Work Environment:

The National Trainer operates in a fast-paced, professional environment that requires flexibility and independent judgment. Work is performed in a combination of settings, including:

  • Remote/office-based work for curriculum development, virtual training, planning and reporting
  • On-site locations nationwide, such as corporate offices, regional branches, training conference rooms, or other facility locations
  • Classroom, workshop, or field environments where hands-on training, coaching, or demonstrations may occur
  • Drives company vehicle or rental vehicle to multiple work locations; regularly enters/exits company vehicle, sits in company vehicle while driving to and from work locations for extended periods of time
  • Travel up to 50 – 70%, depending on business needs, including overnight and multi-day trips

The role involves extended periods of standing during training sessions, frequent use of technology (LMS platforms, presentation tools, video conferencing, etc.), and regular interaction with employees at all levels of the organization. The position requires the ability to adapt to varying working conditions, manage shifting priorities, and maintain professionalism while representing the organization nationally.
