About the Role

The National Sales Manager, Pharmacy Automation (PA) will develop and implement business strategies for PA across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to ensure sustained growth in platform performance, sales, category share, and profitability.

The role is accountable for delivering results in line with the overall business strategy, sales, gross profit (GP), and OIBT targets while strengthening BD’s leadership position in the Saudi healthcare market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of business and marketing plans, pricing policies, sales strategies, and promotional plans for the PA business in Saudi Arabia to meet or exceed sales budget, GP, and OIBT targets.

  • Own demand and material forecasting, budget planning, and ongoing financial forecasting for PA sales and gross profit.

  • Develop and maintain high‑level relationships with government authorities, MOH, public institutions, private sector leaders, and key opinion leaders to influence healthcare policies, funding decisions, and regulatory frameworks while ensuring strong market intelligence and BD brand positioning.

  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities for PA in Saudi Arabia based on market trends and unmet healthcare needs.

  • Plan and oversee market research and analysis, including monitoring and evaluating performance across PA platforms.

  • Monitor competitor activity and strategies and develop counter‑strategies to protect and grow PA category share.

  • Build and sustain a compelling value proposition for targeted customer segments across the Kingdom.

  • Lead product launch strategies for new PA products and line extensions to ensure successful introduction and adoption in Saudi Arabia.

  • Ensure proper and timely registration of PA products with relevant regulatory authorities.

  • Arrange and participate in seminars, scientific events, and congresses as required.

  • Manage promotional and marketing expenditures within approved budgets.

  • Foster teamwork and knowledge sharing across Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and EMA to support best practices and business synergy.

  • Ensure strict adherence to BD’s professional, ethical, and compliance standards, including FCPA and Global Trade requirements.

  • Drive compliance culture and best practices across all direct and indirect reports.

  • Facilitate solution‑based selling of BD’s integrated PA solutions.

  • Lead the development and management of national framework agreements.

  • Establish and maintain direct engagement with key decision‑makers and influencers, including CEOs, Chief Pharmacists, procurement leaders, and private hospital groups.

  • Collaborate closely with MENAT / EMA leadership to define market segmentation and targeting strategies to accelerate growth and penetrate new segments.

  • Build constructive cross‑functional relationships to support country initiatives, strengthen KOL engagement, and align account strategies across BD platforms.

  • Focus on developing the PA organization, strengthening leadership capabilities, and embedding BD culture across the Saudi team.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred but not mandatory.

  • Minimum 10 years of commercial leadership experience in sales and marketing, including at least 5 years of people management.

  • Strong healthcare industry background, ideally within medical devices, healthcare informatics, pharmacy automation, or hospital automation solutions.

  • Experience managing regional or export sales operations within the healthcare sector.

  • Proven track record of delivering commercial growth, executing successful go-to-market strategies, and developing high-impact business plans within multinational organizations.

  • Deep understanding of the Saudi healthcare market, including the Ministry of Health (MOH), government institutions, key healthcare stakeholders, and procurement frameworks.

  • Demonstrated ability to build senior-level relationships, influence key decision-makers, and lead complex negotiations in a highly competitive environment.
