Job Description


Overview:

A leading South African hospitality group with a portfolio of hotels, resorts, and conference properties is seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to lead and drive the company’s sales strategy across its national footprint.
This role is suited to a highly motivated hospitality sales professional who can develop strong corporate relationships, grow market share, and lead a results-driven sales approach across multiple properties and regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities while strengthening existing partnerships within the corporate, leisure, and conferencing markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a national sales strategy to drive occupancy, conference bookings, and group business across the portfolio.

  • Identify and secure new corporate, travel trade, and conferencing clients nationally.

  • Manage and grow relationships with key accounts including corporate clients, travel agents, tour operators, and event planners.

  • Oversee and guide regional or property-based sales teams where applicable.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities within the hospitality sector.

  • Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and sales calls to build strong long-term partnerships.

  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

  • Work closely with marketing and property management teams to ensure alignment of sales initiatives and campaigns.

  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for senior management.

  • Ensure sales targets and revenue objectives are consistently achieved.


Requirements


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales, ideally at a multi-property or national level.

  • Strong network within the corporate, travel trade, conferencing, and leisure markets.

  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.

  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and manage a national portfolio.

  • Willingness to travel nationally when required.
