National Product Specialist, VITEK REVEAL

As part of the US Product Specialist team, the National Product Specialist VITEK REVEAL drives the commercialization, implementation, and ongoing support of customers as the subject matter expert for the VITEK REVEAL Rapid AST product line. This will involve working directly with customers as well as with internal and fieldbased sales, support, and marketing teams to expand adoption of REVEAL in the US market. The National Product Specialist VITEK REVEAL will be responsible for the Opportunity funnel and will work closely with Account Managers and other sales associates to drive adoption of REVEAL and collaborate on sales strategies for market growth of the REVEAL product line. The role covers a large part of the United States and requires extensive customer travel.

Primary Duties

  1. Grow sales of VITEK REVEAL products and services in assigned territory in accordance with annual sales growth objectives.
  2. Sustain and grow product knowledge on VITEK REVEAL to be the technical subject matter expert and work collaboratively with Account Managers to move Opportunities through the sales funnel.
  3. Develop sound business plan for assigned segment. Forecast, plan and execute business objectives so as to meet and exceed sales goals for the VITEK REVEAL Opportunity funnel.
  4. Deliver compelling value proposition by leveraging entire Company portfolio and cross selling within the bioMerieux Sepsis Solution.
  5. Work in a matrix environment with Account Managers, Region Sales Directors, Product Specialists and other bioMerieux colleagues. Collaborate and coordinate in order to close business system wide.
  6. Maintain in-house relationships with Marketing, R&D, Service, Legal and other key functions to facilitate an environment of “easy to do business” with the customer.
  7. Develop and maintain key customer reference sites and relationships.
  8. Manage expenses within annual budget.
  9. Train other colleagues on VITEK REVEAL product line as necessary to support the growth of the VITEK REVEAL franchise.
  10. Support other bioMerieux sales efforts such as trade shows, national GPO conventions, and regional and national sales meetings.
  11. Produce Quality Work. Exhibit accuracy, thoroughness, promptness, and consistently produce work that achieves stated results. Exhibit dependability and demonstrate commitment to quality.
  12. Work closely with small VITEK REVEAL Support Team to ensure successful adoption and Go Live’s for customers.
  13. Provide feedback to the Customer Service Organization, Marketing and Sales on customer feedback from early adopters of VITEK REVEAL
  14. Work collaboratively with the Corporate Accounts Team, responsible for large IDN coverage of all bioMerieux product lines. Prospect, and develop strategies engage C-Suite contacts at major IDN’s and sell the value of the bioMerieux Sepsis Solution.
  15. Deliver effective Sales Call Management, Opportunity Management, Pipeline Management and Forecast
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
  17. Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMerieux Quality System.

Qualifications

Education and Training

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: Requires a Bachelor's degree Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience, which may include may include sales, customer-facing commercial support, field application support, clinical laboratory consulting, technical support, or other customer engagement experience within the in vitro diagnostics (IVD), medical device, life sciences, or healthcare industry.
  • Proven and documented track record in exceeding territory Capital and Reagent goals.
  • Proven and documented track record of consistent top finishes within sales team.
  • Experience selling Capital equipment preferred.
  • Experience selling into Microbiology labs preferred.
  • Experience with new product launches preferrable.
  • Demonstrated ability in meeting and exceeding defined goals and KPI's while gaining market share and driving profitable growth.
  • Work experience within a healthcare provider preferred (Laboratory, Pharmacy)
  • Functional knowledge of IT systems and connectivity within the healthcare market segment (ie. LIS, EMR, CDS systems)
  • Working knowledge of Software as a Service business model in a clinical setting
  • Working knowledge of acute care, clinical and laboratory environment

Working Conditions

  • Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like
  • Location dependent the selected incumbent will be required to be masked while working in client locations for extended periods when on site in hospitals
  • Ability to conduct client visits which entails the safe operation of motor vehicles, physically accessing customer facilities and frequent air travel in performance of assigned duties

Travel Requirements

  • Domestic travel required: 70% of time
The estimated salary range for this field-based role is between $110,000 - $173,000. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
