Job Impact

As a National Patrols Response & Alarm Monitoring Operator, you will be at the heart of Certis’ protective services network. You’ll monitor live alarm systems, assess security incidents in real time, and coordinate rapid, compliant responses with patrol officers and emergency services.

As part of the National Protective Services Division, you will operate in a high‑trust control room environment, ensuring all alarm responses and security incidents are handled professionally, safely and in line with Australian Standards.

You will work collaboratively with field officers, clients and internal stakeholders while maintaining strict compliance, accuracy and confidentiality.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Monitoring alarms, alerts and live CCTV across multiple customer security systems
• Assessing incidents and determining appropriate response actions
• Dispatching patrol officers and coordinating alarm responses in line with established protocols
• Prioritising critical events and escalating incidents where required
• Liaising with emergency services when necessary
• Managing and documenting incidents with accuracy and attention to detail
• Preparing clear, timely and compliant incident and briefing reports
• Maintaining accurate system records and comprehensive event notes
• Supporting continuous improvement through training, drills and system development
• Upholding Certis’ high standards of quality, compliance and confidentiality

Key Requirements

Mandatory

• Current & valid NSW Unarmed or Monitoring Centre Operator Security Licence
• Current First Aid Certificate

Desirable

• Experience in alarm monitoring or security operations
• Familiarity with electronic security monitoring systems
• Knowledge of mobile patrol or response operations
• Understanding of Australian security standards and legislation
