This is a rare Director opportunity based in Sydney or Melbourne to help grow Deloitte Australia's Operate business and deliver managed service solutions that transform how clients run critical functions.
What will your typical day look like?
At the centre of this role is growth. You will lead and support complex pursuits, build compelling managed service solutions, and work closely with National Operate leadership to originate opportunities across Finance, HR/Payroll, and Government & Public Sector. The work spans sales, solution development, commercial thinking, and strategic go-to-market activity.
Success here comes from connecting big-picture growth with delivery that works in practice. You will help clients rethink and outsource critical business functions through scalable operating models, shared services, and Business Process Outsourcing solutions, while partnering with delivery teams to evolve engagements and achieve strong client outcomes over time.
No two pursuits will look quite the same. One day might involve shaping a response for a government client with complex procurement requirements, while another could see you working across local and global teams to strengthen capability, develop thought leadership, or refine a managed service proposition for a new market opportunity.
National Operate brings together deep experience in managed services, operational transformation, and long-term client service delivery. The team helps organisations design, build, and run scalable operating models across core business functions, combining commercial rigour with practical delivery capability. It is a space focused on lasting client relationships, measurable outcomes, and helping clients create more efficient, resilient ways of working.
