About the Role

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Operations, this newly created role will drive the transformation and ongoing success of Wilson Parking Australia's Technical Field Services function.
This is not a business-as-usual leadership position. You will lead the transition of our existing Manager on Duty (MOD) workforce into a specialised Site Technician operating model, helping shape the future structure, capability and operating framework of the function.

Through strong operational leadership, you will enhance equipment reliability, improve response times to technical issues, optimise recoverable call out opportunities and drive increased uptime across Wilson Parking's national portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop a national team of Site Technicians, driving high-quality technical service delivery across Wilson Parking Australia.
- Lead the transition from the current Manager on Duty (MOD) model to a specialised Site Technician workforce.
- Establish clear performance expectations and foster a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement.
- Build workforce capability through the development of career and learning pathways, training, coaching and structured development programs.
- Support workforce planning, resource allocation and labour utilisation to support operational performance.
- Drive engagement and successfully lead teams through organisational change.
Operations & Service Delivery
- Design and implement a nationally consistent Site Technician operating model across multiple regions.
- Improve service response times and job allocation through effective use of technology and operational systems.
- Drive improvements in equipment uptime, fault resolution and overall service performance.
- Ensure recoverable maintenance activities are accurately identified and managed for commercial outputs.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver reliable technical support services.
- Contribute to technology, equipment and infrastructure planning across the portfolio.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Monitor and report on team performance, productivity, service outcomes and recoverable work activities.
- Analyse operational data to identify trends, challenges and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards that support informed decision-making.
- Provide insights and recommendations on future workforce, capability and support requirements.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Lead the development of capability frameworks, learning pathways and technical standards for the Site Technician workforce.
- Support national projects focused on field service delivery, technology support and workforce optimisation.
- Assist with the mobilisation of new sites and technical infrastructure initiatives.
- Promote best practice and continuous improvement across technical field services and maintenance operations.
About You
We're seeking a high-energy people leader who thrives in transformation environments and enjoys building teams, capability and operational frameworks from the ground up. You'll be comfortable leading large workforces, navigating change, influencing stakeholders and driving commercial outcomes in a fast-paced operational environment.
Skills & Experience
- Experience delivering organisational change, workforce transformation or operating model redesign initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance operational performance, service delivery and cost outcomes.
- Experience leading large operational, technical, field service, trade-based or maintenance workforces would be beneficial.
- Ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholder groups through periods of change.
- Experience managing geographically dispersed teams is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety principles and compliance requirements.
- Self-motivated, resilient and committed to achieving positive outcomes.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Operations, Engineering, Technical Services, Workforce Management or a related discipline are highly regarded.
- Experience in parking, facilities management, field services, technology support, retail operations, transport, property services or a similar asset-intensive environment will be highly advantageous.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence is essential.
- Qualifications in change management, project management, training, safety or technical disciplines will be highly regarded.
