Join a growing and dedicated health team focused on supporting Australia’s broad healthcare landscape. In this exciting national role, you will directly engage with industry partners and healthcare businesses to grow market share and further extend the CommBank Health’s brand within the community.

You’ll work with the CommBank Health teams and bankers across the country to build their health knowledge and capability and keep them up to date with industry changes. You’ll also work with the broader CommBank stakeholders to influence lending policy, product development, industry specific thought leadership and strategic initiatives for growth.

CommBank Health is the dedicated healthcare industry vertical established to provide specialised solutions and service to grow the Group’s healthcare customers. CommBank Health is responsible for engaging with industry partners, designing and implementing strategy, policy and banker capability programs, to ensure that CommBank delivers it’s aspiration of becoming the #1 provider of banking and financial services solutions to the Australian healthcare industry.

Reporting to the Executive Manager – CommBank Health, the purpose of the role is to grow CommBank Health’s market share and brand, with a focus on commercial lending growth. You will do this by designing and implementing how the Group will engage with the various healthcare segments.

The role:

• Lead and support national CommBank Health business development initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, shaping client acquisition strategies, and driving sustainable portfolio expansion.

• Build and maintain a strong network of internal and external stakeholders to deliver industry insights, support strategic decision-making, and enhance CommBank Health’s market presence.

• Develop strong partnerships with frontline Health teams to ensure best practice deal structuring, key industry fundamentals, portfolio management and also support in customer engagement as industry subject matter expert.

• Provide deep healthcare sector expertise across the deal lifecycle, supporting complex transactions, structuring solutions, and strengthening client engagement.

• In conjunction with the Policy and Performance team, evolve market-leading lending strategies aligned to emerging healthcare trends and areas of specialisation.

• Partner with frontline Health teams to optimise deal structuring, portfolio performance, and customer outcomes.
  

Your skills and experience:

• Experience within healthcare banking, financial services, credit risk, or risk management.

• Strong business banking and commercial lending experience, with a proven track record in business development and relationship management.

• Deep understanding of the Australian healthcare industry, or a demonstrated ability to quickly develop industry expertise.

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across diverse audiences.

• Well-developed project management and transaction execution capabilities.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and deliver tailored financial solutions to complex client needs.

• Strong commercial acumen and a passion for helping healthcare businesses succeed.
