With our brands touching the lives of almost two million customers every week, you’ll feel the impact of the work you’ll do every day. As a leader in the retail market, we’re optimistic about our future and yours. We’re changing at a rapid rate, giving you challenging work that you’ll be proud of.

Join the team

We’re looking for a strong, strategic leader to take on a nationally impactful role, with the opportunity to shape and elevate our investigations capability. As the National Investigations Manager, you’ll build on existing foundations to create greater clarity, consistency and direction across the function.

Utilise your knowledge and skillset to define strategy, embed best practice, and uplift capability across the business to support a more proactive, insight-led approach. You’ll bring structure and alignment, helping the team focus on what matters most and enabling them to deliver stronger, more consistent outcomes.

Working closely with senior stakeholders and external partners, you’ll connect investigations, data and operations to drive clear, actionable results that reduce risk and strengthen business performance.

If you’re a leader who enjoys bringing clarity, building capability, and creating momentum across a team, this is a genuine opportunity to shape the future of investigations at Kmart Group.

  • Drive data-led targeting and intelligence reporting to inform operational and commercial decision-making.
  • Partner closely with stores, operations, finance and external agencies (including law enforcement) to deliver outcomes.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality investigation standards, governance and case management practices.
  • Translate investigation outcomes into commercial impact, supporting shrink reduction and business cases for investment.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance investigation efficiency, capability and outcomes.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

We’re looking for a driven and experienced leader with deep investigations expertise and strong commercial acumen:

  • Significant experience in investigations or loss prevention within a retail environment.
  • Proven experience leading teams, ideally across multi-site, multi-state or large complex environments.
  • Strong capability in advanced investigative techniques, case management and evidence handling.
  • Deep understanding of retail crime trends, fraud and organised retail crime.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. privacy, evidence handling, workplace law).
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, risks and actionable insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • High levels of integrity, discretion and resilience when managing sensitive matters.
  • A commercial mindset, with the ability to translate investigations into measurable business outcomes.

If you’re passionate about protecting people and business outcomes, leading high-performing teams, and staying ahead of evolving retail crime trends, we’d love to hear from you.

Benefits we’ll offer you:

  • Flexible hybrid working options through our Flex Where, Flex When, Flex Well policy.
