
Deliver net revenue performance and expense management through the identification, prioritization, and execution of significant net revenue commercial opportunities, and through longer-term understanding of the customer/market environment. Translate the Internal Medicine, North America vision and strategies to align, engage and inspire colleagues across the Internal Medicine Sales organization. The selected candidate will set national strategy, coach and develop leaders, and optimize deployment across accounts and the nation. This position will also require direct engagement with customers on a prioritized/as needed basis. The role is highly dependent on advanced collaboration skills and in addition to managing direct reports, it will need to successfully influence others without direct authority to be successful. (e.g. Alliance Partner, Sales, KAM and Pfizer Connect teams)
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Revenue Performance Deliver net revenue performance results with 100% integrity and compliance; responsible for over $3 Billion revenue per year on shared basis w/Cardiology Team
Execute strategic analysis and business planning implementation to drive revenue optimally and compliantly
Prioritize corrective business performance actions for negative outliers and monitor execution through ABMs; Key Account Managers; the CARD Sales team and Pfizer Connect
Manage total expense base nationally to include: Compensation, Bonus, T&E, Group Meetings Budget, Centris
Analyze, assess and develop business cases for local investments which are exemptions to planned variation
II. People and Culture: Accountable to launch the new org model and develop an engaged and compliant culture that drives the Pfizer Values through People/HR Processes. Responsible for a large National level organization consisting of ABM direct reports with underlying customer-facing colleagues
Oversee team accountability at National level related to coaching, colleague development and succession planning, recruiting, hiring, promotions, lateral moves, performance management, terminations within National workforce
Champion and steward all Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives within National Team and across IM
Lead and manage the creation and execution of specific colleague engagement and compliance plans
Instill a culture of compliance and integrity
Lead and accountable for all HR-related processes with National Team to include, but not limited to: attracting and hiring talent both internally and externally, Annual Goal Setting Process, PLI Semester Evaluation Process, Annual Compensation Process (i.e. Merit, GPP and LTI), Incentive Compensation, ensuring consistent utilization of a:Coach, Career Progression, Talent Planning and Colleague Development Processes
Interpret, develop, implement follow-up with Pfizer Pulse Action Planning for engagement at every level of organization
Work collaboratively with IM Sales LT colleagues and within HSSS nationally to share successes, areas of opportunity and demonstrate focus on continuous improvement on colleague processes to drive simplicity, avoid duplication and redundancy of effort
Understand and enforce compliance laws, policies and to ensure full compliance with all legal requirements
III. Market/Cross-Functional Team Understand, influence, and evolve with key market environments across the Nation while aligning closely with the KAM and CARD teams
Lead overall effectiveness and collaboration of IAT (Medical, KAM, Sales, PCA, Policy, MOS) for key brands consistent with Pfizer policy to address market opportunities and challenges
Develop a thorough understanding of the drivers of local market dynamics to prioritize, balance and focus resources to grow market share and market size
Develop a closed loop with Brand teams and Enabling Functions to relay field and customer insights
Approve field force deployment/resourcing at Region, District and Territory levels to realize opportunities
Engage, understand, and partner with prioritized/senior customers and stakeholders to better meet/protect/influence customer needs, and to create net revenue for Pfizer
Understand policy implications (Healthcare reforms), guide policy strategies and provide advocacy to protect and enhance Pfizer's brand interests
IV. Leadership Team:Lead Leadership Team
Lead, inspire, coach, develop and manage HSSS ABMs
Lead and guide HSSS Sales Leadership Team, made up of ABMs, Operations and Strategy, with at-large members from Policy, PCA, MOS, KAM, et al
Lead HSSS ABMs to develop Sales Organizations that excel in hybrid sales capabilities and appropriately leverage virtual/digital tools down through Sales Organization to increase results both internally and externally
Builds change agile culture that responds to and thrives in change

V. IPT/National Platforms:Lead for anchor brand (i.e. Eliquis) and national platforms for HSSS
Liaison, influencer and supporter of brand and customer insights/propositions to drive needed actions and resources for the field
Lead on assigned IM business initiatives, projects, brands and formally liaise with central functions on behalf of IM
Engage and help lead long term planning for brand, to include future POA deliverables and strategies and Op Plan process
Provide commercial and sales guidance for launches, new material development and roll-out
Design and implement Field Force incentives and Incentive Compensation design for brand
Lead POA cascade
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS Degree required
10 + years pharmaceutical, biotech or medical marketing/sales experience and a minimum least 5+ years in a promoted position with demonstrated leadership experience.
Demonstrated success in a senior commercial, marketing and/or second level sales leadership role, including experience in sales/account management, marketing, strategy, operations and/or HQ functional roles.
Experience managing a team of diverse colleagues in multi-disciplinary positions.
Experience of successfully working with key thought leaders or high influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations.
Experience managing a function, marketing and/or sales, with a large/sizable budget and large groups of colleagues.
Demonstrated track record of One Pfizer approach by operating above-brand or cross-function/BU on policy and strategic issue.
Demonstrates high learning agility with the ability to quickly get up to speed on specific market and customer knowledge as well as brand knowledge.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred
Experience managing a hospital/institution-based team and/or an account-based selling team
Experience leading a hybrid (in-person/remote) field force

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $230,900.00 to $384,800.00.
