About the role

As the Team Lead of National Construction Delivery, you’ll lead the end-to-end delivery of new store builds and refurbishment projects across our retail network. You’ll ensure project excellence through effective contractor management, governance, and team development.

  • Lead our team of construction project managers responsible for the end-to-end delivery of new store builds, including fuel and convenience formats
  • Oversee refurbishments and upgrades across the existing network with minimal disruption to trade
  • Lead contractor and supplier engagement, including procurement and performance management
  • Ensure all projects meets safety, quality, timeline, and budget expectations
  • Implement governance frameworks and conduct site audits to drive consistency and improvement
  • Develop and manage project plans, risks, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Align construction activities with cross-functional teams for seamless handover to Operations
  • Support team growth through coaching, mentoring, and capability building

About you


You’re a hands-on construction leader with a strong track record in managing multi-site retail or fuel builds. You thrive in dynamic environments, bring a focus on quality, compliance and safety, and are passionate about growing high-performing teams.

  • An experienced people leader who invests in team development and performance
  • Extensive experience in retail or fuel construction project delivery
  • Proven ability to manage timelines, budgets, and risk across complex programs
  • Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills
  • Deep understanding of compliance, governance, and safety regulations
  • Able to prioritise workload and resources to meet business and program needs
  • Proactive and solutions-focused under pressure
  • Willing to step in and provide hands-on support when it matters most
