The National Agreements Manager develops, negotiates, and manages national service agreements across the U.S. They serve as the main commercial and contractual contact for strategic service providers. This role ensures contracts are carried out consistently, delivers value, manages risks, and leads data analysis to support contract performance, decision-making, and ongoing improvement.

The National Agreements Manager is expected to understand and challenge technical specifications, commercial and operating practices, and business processes, with a focus on driving cost‑reduction initiatives. The role promotes outstanding sourcing strategies and methodologies and requires strong sourcing, post‑award administration, negotiation, and written communication skills. Outstanding leadership and influencing abilities, strong intuition for business, and excellent organizational and time‑management skills are essential.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Lead the creation, negotiation, and oversight of national service agreements, ensuring alignment with company standards, risk tolerance, and business objectives
  • Coordinate service contracts end-to-end, including scope, performance, issues, amendments, renewals, and terminations
  • Direct strategic collaborations with important contractors by functioning as the chief contact, ensuring consensus on expectations, and handling commercial or contractual conflicts as required
  • Establish and monitor contract performance metrics to ensure service quality, cost control, compliance with contractual obligations, and achievement of agreed service levels
  • Partner with Contracts Management to develop service category strategies aligned with business needs
  • Develop analytics, dashboards, and reporting to support decision‑making and leadership reviews
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional collaborators (e.g., Operations, Contracts Management, Legal, Finance, Project Management) to ensure agreements support operational and strategic goals
  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement using data, guidelines, and lessons learned
  • Complete sourcing processes by developing, negotiating, implementing, and sustaining supply contracts in the construction arena consistent with business requirements
  • Monitor, communicate, and respond to changing market conditions and business drivers on a global basis to improve leverage and minimize risk
  • Handle a portfolio of national service agreements that support multiple sites and regions
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to collaborate with strategic, high‑value service providers
  • Support enterprise‑wide consistency in service contracting and performance management
  • Support supplier discovery and optimization of construction spend
  • Support supplier nonconformance reporting
  • Deliver innovative contracting solutions to increase value

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related technical field
  • 10–15 years of relevant experience, including at least 10 years in construction and/or operations environments
  • Strong influencing, communication, and facilitation skills across cultures and geographies
  • Proven ability to bring cross‑functional teams together to achieve goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Effective negotiation and contracting capabilities
  • Experience preparing, modifying, and leading commercial negotiations for construction, engineering, and service contracts
  • Solid financial, business, and macro‑economic understanding
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote)
  • Working knowledge of SAP and requisition‑to‑pay processes
  • Strong understanding of change management and claims prevention
  • People management experience is a plus
  • Leadership experience and enthusiasm for new opportunities preferred
