National Accounts Manager - Metals Recycling - Base Salary to 125k/year - Dallas, TX

  • Our client, an established industrial metals recycling organization, is seeking an experienced National Accounts Manager to lead the implementation, growth, and management of strategic industrial customer accounts. This role is responsible for customer onboarding, account management, commercial process improvement, and long-term account growth within a metals recycling and heavy industrial environment. The ideal candidate has experience purchasing or managing ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal accounts, developing customer relationships, and leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the liaison between Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, and Finance
  • Develop best practices and standardized commercial processes for the sales organization
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic industrial customer accounts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key industrial customers
  • Partner with commercial leadership to support customer growth, retention, and profitability
  • Lead all aspects of new customer account implementation and onboarding
  • Coordinate onboarding activities and develop standardized implementation plans
  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics, transportation efficiency, and operating costs
  • Monitor commodity markets, scrap pricing, and market trends affecting customer accounts
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members
  • Utilize ERP, CRM, and Microsoft Excel to manage customer data, reporting, and account activity

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Must have experience in metals recycling, scrap metal, metals manufacturing, or a heavy industrial environment
  • Must have strategic account management experience
  • Must have management or leadership experience
  • 5+ years of experience in an industrial commercial, industrial sales, strategic accounts, or account management role
  • Experience working with ferrous and nonferrous metals
  • Experience with customer onboarding, account implementation, and long-term account management
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and ERP and CRM systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 100k - 125k/year range
  • 15% annual target bonus opportunity
