Job Description

We are looking for a driven and relationship-focused National Account Manager – Retail to own and grow our presence inside Home Depot, Costco, Walmart, BJ's Wholesale Club, and other retail partners. This role is the primary point of contact for our retail partners and is responsible for driving in-store sales for all product lines, ensuring program execution, ensuring program compliance, and deepening strategic relationships that fuel revenue growth.

This role ensures accurate and timely responses to our retail partners, our divisions and our customers. The ideal candidate has prior experience in retail partnerships, customer experience, and a demonstrated ability to work with multiple functions to foster sales growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the day-to-day liaison between our company and key retail partners (Home Depot, Costco, BJ's Wholesale Club, IME, etc.)

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, regional buyers, and corporate contacts at each partner

  • Conduct regular division and store visits, business reviews, and partner check-ins to ensure alignment and satisfaction

  • Drive sales volume through each retail channel by identifying growth opportunities and executing against account plans

  • Collaborate with internal sales and marketing teams to develop promotions, seasonal campaigns, and in-store events that increase customer engagement

  • Track and report on sales performance by account, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions when needed

  • Prepare and deliver Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) that highlight results, insights, ROI, and forward-looking growth initiatives

  • Develop and maintain joint business plans with retail partners, aligned to partner goals, seasonal priorities, and corporate initiatives

  • Translate partner strategies, scorecards, and success metrics into actionable internal plans across sales, marketing, and operations

  • Proactively identify risks, escalations, or performance gaps and drive resolution before they impact partner confidence or revenue

  • Act as a trusted advisor to retail partners by bringing insights, ideas, and recommendations, not just reporting results

  • Establish clear success metrics for each program and retailer, including lead performance, conversion, revenue, and customer experience

  • Ensure all partner programs, displays, signage, and promotional materials are properly implemented and maintained across locations

  • Monitor compliance with partner requirements and brand standards

  • Coordinate with operations and fulfillment teams to ensure service delivery meets the expectations set at the retail level

  • Develop and present quarterly and annual account plans for each retail partner

  • Identify opportunities to expand our product/service footprint within existing partner locations

  • Stay current on retail industry trends, competitor activity, and partner priorities to inform strategy

  • Work closely with marketing, call center, sales, operations, finance, and customer service teams to support retail partner needs

  • Serve as the internal voice of the retail partner, advocating for resources and support needed to grow the channel

What You'll Bring

  • 3–5+ years of experience in retail account management, channel sales, or partnership management - preferably in home improvement, home services, bath remodeling, windows, or consumer goods

  • Proven track record managing large retail accounts (big-box or wholesale club experience strongly preferred)

  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously

  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office

  • Willingness to travel to store locations and partner offices as needed

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
