The National Accounts Manager sells the organization’s products or services to and maintains relationships with key accounts, typically large Regional or National Distributors. Manages sales activities for assigned named country accounts, rather than an assigned territory. The NAM will be responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships which foster sales and growth for the region. The NAM must be successful in meeting and exceeding assigned quota and KPI’s. Primary point-of-contact sales manager for account regardless of account’s geographic location. May be a team leader and provide professional leadership and coordination for team on a single, key, country account.

Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000 USD annually, depending on experience.

Commission: $10,000 annually based on performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support spec operators, assisting with product selection, specifications, and issue resolution to ensure customer satisfaction and program success.
  • Prepare and write quotes in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, Nice North America pricing guidelines, and margin expectations.
  • Enter and manage customer orders with precision, identifying the best ship-from locations based on On-Hand Inventory (OHI) to optimize lead times and reduce shipping costs.
  • Support Regional Sales Managers (RSM) and Business Development Managers (BDM) with account activities, customer communications, and field initiatives as needed.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of assigned national accounts by developing strong relationships, understanding customer needs, and delivering solutions that drive loyalty and long-term partnership.
  • Drive consistent revenue growth across assigned accounts by identifying expansion opportunities, executing strategic account plans, and achieving or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales goals.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company
  • Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people
  • Attend Industry Association events and Customer trade shows as directed
  • Maintains records and makes reports on all phases of activities and performs other tasks as required
  • Understand, support and execute all work according to the established procedures of the organization
  • Achieve and consistently exceed monthly/quarterly sales goals for self and team
  • Required to have a strong comfort-level communicating throughout all levels of the organization
  • Achieve and constantly exceed KPI’s for self and team (e.g. new customers, attachment sales, product launches, etc)
  • Ensures that all customer activities for self and team are entered into the company’s CRM system in a timely and accurate manner
  • Implements and maintains department policies and standards
  • Project based assignments as requested

Qualifications:

  • Requires minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’ or 10 years with Associates degree or equivalent years relevant experience

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated successful sales skills core competencies
  • Ability to formulate sales growth strategies
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and sales multipliers from company price sheet
  • Knowledge of end to end sales process and the effective use of systems and tools to drive efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines including weekly/monthly sales reports, expense reporting and CRM tools
  • Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, establish department/discipline goals and objectives for self and staff
  • Computer literacy required; including intermediate or advanced skills in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)
  • Proven ability to meet sales goals and excel in a goal-driven environment
  • Exceptional negotiation, motivational, relationship-building, and client service skills
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and eager to succeed
