Job Summary:

As a Business Development Manager at Hulcher Resources Inc. (HRI), you will be a key member of our team, responsible for driving business growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the environmental remediation and industrial cleaning sectors and for the Class 1 railroads. Your primary objective will be to establish and develop relationships with potential clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions that align with Hulcher Resources Services. Your sales efforts will play a vital role in expanding our client base and achieving revenue targets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sales Prospecting and Lead Generation
  1. Identify and research potential clients within the Environmental Remediation and Industrial Cleaning Sectors.
  2. Develop a deep understanding of clients' needs and expectations along with industry trends.
  3. Generate and qualify leads through various methods, including cold calling, networking, and online research.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to foster repeat business and referrals.
  2. Conduct client meetings and presentations to showcase Hulcher Resources Services and Capabilities.
  3. Listen actively to client feedback and concerns, addressing them in a timely, constructive manner
  • Sales Presentations and Proposals:
  1. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to clients' specific needs.
  2. Clearly communicate the value proposition of Hulcher Resources Services.
  3. Negotiate Terms and Conditions, Pricing, and Contracts with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
  1. Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
  2. Analyze market data and client feedback to identify potential areas for service expansion or improvement.
  3. Provide feedback to the management team on market insights and opportunities.
  • Sales Target Achievement:
  1. Set and work towards sales targets and revenue goals, both individually and as part of the sales team.
  2. Develop and execute sales strategies and action plans to achieve targets.
  3. Continuously track and report on sales progress and performance.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activities, and progress in the company's CRM system.
  2. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
  3. Collaborate with the operations and finance teams to ensure seamless project handoffs and invoicing.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Environmental Studies preferred
  • Experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must have experience managing existing accounts and building relationships with key decision makers that are responsible for awarding work and issuing Purchas Orders.
  • Proven experience in industrial sales, preferably within environmental remediation, industrial cleaning, railroad, petrochemical, oil & gas, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of environmental remediation, industrial cleaning services, and processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport.
  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Polished verbal and writing skills, comfortable in multi-tasking, aggressive prospecting.
  • Knowledge of Safety Regulations and Environmental Compliance.
  • Strict adherence to Client and Company safety standards at All Times.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

  • Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Operate in a home office environment
  • Possess polished written communication skills through proposals and e-mail correspondence along with verbal skills exhibited in person and by telephone

Travel:

  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Indoor and external working environments
  • The role involves some exposure to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat, including wet and/or humid conditions
  • The employee may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock; vibration; fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, explosives, and risk of radiation
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet (except for the crew performing work on-site)
  • The position interacts with operations leaders and crews, corporate office personnel and sales team members, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and rental companies.
