Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a National Account Manager to join the Integrated AV Division. This is a remote position. The National Account Manager is responsible for creating and executing account plans for assigned AV Integrator partners. Activities include driving product adoption, strategizing to uncover international, national and local market opportunities, guiding regional sales team to take local actionable activities, collaborating with other Legrand associates and departments to achieve assigned targets.

The National Account Manager will act as the primary relationship owner with assigned AV Integrator partners ensuring strong communication channels, program creation and execution, and aligned go-to-market strategies.

What Will You Do?

  • Actively pursue new business opportunities to penetrate and grow revenue; confer with potential customers regarding product needs and advise customers on types of products to purchase.
  • Create and manage partner programs including rebates, freight policy and pricing
  • Hold regular executive business reviews with assigned partners, prioritizing in person meetings
  • Drive IAV Account Executive engagement with assigned partners at local level
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in Salesforce.com
  • Effectively present information to IAV executive management team.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key players/decision makers at assigned accounts
  • Establish and leverage relationships with counterparts at partner manufacturers to identify areas for alignment at assigned accounts
  • Effectively communicate between internal departments, to manage projects (ie: Product Management, Management, Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, etc.)
  • Represent Company at trade shows, trade associations, and client meetings to promote products
  • Provide reporting to VP Strategic Accounts
  • Work independently and within a team sales environment
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints regarding sales and service
  • Advise customers on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business.
  • Consult with department heads to plan advertising services, secure information on products and customer required specifications
  • Schedule, coordinate and conduct client training events
  • Develop (enhance) client presentation materials
  • Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in the use of a CRM tool
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet and Microsoft Office suite of software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook (or related e-mail system)
  • Ability to interpret standards, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to be customer focused and responsive to questions and needs
  • Motivated self-starter who desires success
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based upon organization or department needs
  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with company standards, practices and policies
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several projects through completion at one time while maintain high attention to detail
  • Must possess high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or other related technical degree with 3-5 years sales experience or any appropriate combination of education and experience

Special Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to provide for a safe home office working environment
  • Must be available for extended, varied work hours based on business need

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • General office environment
  • May require regular ground travel to other company facilities within local metropolitan area
  • Long-distance or air travel as needed – minimum 50% travel
