ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly dynamic and experienced National Account Manager who will be responsible for the growth and profit of specific Wholesale, Artisan and Distribution accounts throughout the UK. As an ambitious, experienced and highly motivated individual you will be able to quickly build relationships with customers and have a good understanding of how to drive growth through these customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the delivery of Distributor and Artisan Account Strategies with specific ongoing plans to include sales promotion, sales targets, range selection/extensions, advertising and communication, events, exhibitions and demonstration
  • Key to this role is the ability to build and develop a mutually beneficial “joint business plan”
  • Collection and analysis of information, and provision of conclusions from sales figures and account information
  • Management of specific trade marketing tools from conception through execution to delivery and evaluation of the effectiveness of activity
  • Based on information and knowledge make recommendations where appropriate to central marketing- new products, ranges, tools etc
  • Monitor and control relevant budgets
  • Develop and enrich close contact with key personnel beyond simply buyers- Marketing, sales and logistics
  • Utilise distributor relationships to suggest partnerships with major end users and our own HoReCa Key Accounts Team to build new opportunities, distribution, penetration and applications
  • Manage the Academy link to provide innovative application solutions for and general trade, directed to build volumes and profit.
  • General Account Management- Pricing, Logistics, Complaints, New Product forms, Reporting etc

ABOUT YOU

  • Technical degree in a related subject preferred or equivalent practical experience and demonstrated capability in a commercial of customer-facing role required.
  • A full driving licence, valid in the UK
  • Basic understanding of use of Chocolate in the HoReCa kitchen
  • Understanding and experience of Foodservice/Bakery distribution
  • Commercial flair- seeing new opportunities, approaching things differently
  • Communication and people skills, account management and presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong and effective relationships
  • Ability to travel 2/3 days a week + occassional visits in Banbury office
