General Summary
The National Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a positive account relationship with assigned national customers and functioning as a liaison between Deckorators plants and the assigned national customers in order to increase sales and profits.
Works under general direction; exercises discretion and judgment on work priority on a regular basis; and a significant degree of creativity is expected.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Category manages product lines, ensuring success on shelf, in DC’s and in Special Order Programs. Works with merchants for alignment and execution.
Works closely with category manager to use data to drive decisions within the category.
Executes product and pricing information from the BU in preparation for product line reviews.
Attends meetings with assigned national customers and other national accounts as necessary to grow our business and profitability
Implements any new business or programs with assigned national customers
Handles merchant calls and field to the proper contacts as necessary
Works with RSM’s and SDR’s on field requests and action plans
Follows up on customer issues/complaints and assigned national customers
Assists in day to day duties as required by the Vice President Retail; Deckorators
Prepares various reports as required
Performs other duties as required
Job Specifications
Knowledge
Minimum bachelor’s degree in business or marketing or equivalent experience
Minimum of three years working on retail ready programs
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and other software for business applications
Preferred manufacturing background, but not required
Preferred experience and knowledge on UFP’s organization, culture, product lines and business systems
Skills and abilities
Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking
Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the public
Demonstrated proficiency to manage multiple tasks, to set priorities, and to meet deadlines
Demonstrate proficiency in general telephone and office etiquette and legible handwriting
Demonstrated ability to be mobile in the work environment
Ability to follow directions and instructions
Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships
Ability to apply business math to manufacturing processes
Ability to use a computer, and proficiency in the use of MS Office and other business related software
Ability to pass a drug test
