The National Account Executive will provide sales support, working closely with the Woolworths & Coles National Business Managers and Metcash NAM to execute strategies that deliver NSV and GC targets and continue strong partnerships with key customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the inputs into forecasts and actively participate in the business rhythm for Coles and Metcash building cross functional relationships (internal & external). Managing workload across Coles 80% and Metcash 20% to assist both accounts.
  • This role will also be able to assist with Woolworths account covering leave periods.
  • Maintaining trade plans, aligning with our Customers in monthly collaboration meetings.
  • Analysing results and providing recommendations for sales optimisation.
  • Create strong working relationships with Assistant Category Managers (ACM’s) at Coles.
  • Manage promotional claims for each retailer as these are received and checked with actual sales results before approving with the accounts team.
  • Support in-store & online promotional slotting & review results to influence future projections.
  • Manage new line forms and NPD range submission for each customer, collaborating with cross functional teams to obtain all the required information on time.
  • Support Coles and Metcash Category Activation Team regarding the Integrated Activity Plans (IAP) with Customers (Retail Media Teams).
  • Liaise with Field Operations Team, prioritise customer activation plans within the cycle.
  • Deliver customer specific reporting as required, supported by Category, insights and Supply Chain.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role.
  • FMCG experience would be preferable.
  • Experience with accounts; Coles, Woolworths, and Metcash is preferable.
  • Data-savvy with forecast and demand experience, with the ability to manage inputs and attend Business Rhythm meetings for forecasting and proactively support NBM’s/NAM’s with Risk/Opps.
  • Influencing skills and passion, with great stakeholder management.
  • High focus and attention to detail for example in the management of trade spend and claims or the execution and input into account plans.
  • Reporting experience to senior level, for example you will manage and deliver customer specific reporting which is key to our opportunity, risk and analysis process (as well as relationship building).
