Italy is the Group’s Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products.

Thales' Navaids and Non Radar Surveillance Business Segment (“NAS”) is a world leader in the segment of Air Traffic Management (ATM) equipment. The Business Segment has supplied more than 8,000 systems supplied to over 160 countries. Key customers are local Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), Airports as well as Flying Units of Defence Forces. An impressive 2 out of 3 air planes around the world land and take off with the help of Thales. To continue and further improve this success the Navaids and Non Radar Surveillance Business Segment is looking for a

NAS Sales Consultant, Focus on (but not limited to) Latin America.

Objectives and responsibilities:

  • Secure NAS related order intake in Latin America through local partners
  • Develop business opportunities in close coordination with all stakeholders of Thales' Airspace Mobility Solutions Business Line (AMS) and responsible country office
  • prepare bidding documentation, manage assigned bid teams
  • lead and finalize respective contract negotiations with given mandates
  • train and manage existing local partners, identify new partners if required
  • analyze market trends and communicate with relevant AMS departments
  • create an opportunity pipeline, qualify and implement it

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering or Business Management/Administration from renowned international Universities / Colleges
  • comprehensive knowledge of international export business
  • basic knowledge of business cases & economic balance sheets, export control, international law, project implementation
  • related ability to build trust & long-term relationships with business partners and end-users
  • flexibility to address other regions if necessary
  • fluent in English and Spanish. French / Italian and other language skills will be of advantage
  • ability to work in multinational teams
  • competence to laterally manage matrix organizations of large group of companies
  • experience in similar industries will be of advantage
  • commitment to achieve defined targets
  • competence in communications and presentations
  • willingness to travel
