The Name Screening Analyst is a dynamic, detail-oriented role responsible for executing critical compliance screening against sanctions, PEP, and adverse media watchlists. Serving as a vital bridge between front office and operations, this position focuses on analysing screening alerts, performing root-cause analysis on reconciliation breaks, and ensuring all cases are meticulously documented.
Responsibilities
Perform name screening on clients, counterparties, and transactions against sanctions, PEP, and adverse media watchlists
Review and disposition screening alerts, escalating true matches to the compliance team in a timely manner
Work closely with Client Advisors to review, clarify, and resolve screening hits in a timely and compliant manner
Maintain accurate records of screening decisions and ensure all cases are documented with clear rationale
Relying on a reconciliation report, analyse breaks to identify root cause and pro-actively contact the appropriate party until break is resolved
Work with front office as well as operations colleagues
Perform regular follow ups until all breaks are resolved or documented with plausible reasons
Provide regular MI to stakeholders
Provide daily MI to senior managers with clear trend analysis and commentaries
Eligibility Requirements
1+ years of experience in the banking or Financial Services industry
Self driven individual
Strong communication skills to connect professionally with front to back teams
Organizational skills to ensure follow through on all tasks
Familiarity with name screening tools and compliance processes
Familiarity with simple macros, co-pilot, Alteryx, Power BI is a plus
