About the Role

New opportunity within our large Engineering organization for a NAD Test Engineer as part of a new opening position in Connectivity Test Center. This role will be part of a new team based in Bucharest which will work closely with the wider team. Our goal is to build out our Connectivity Test team operating from our strategic site in Bucharest providing experienced and dynamic team members to support multiple roles across our portfolio of global projects. This is an extremely exciting time to get involved, to help develop and shape innovative technology and drive change throughout the organization.

What You Will Do

  • Identify and log SW defects on the platform through Structured, Exploratory, and Regression Testing.

  • Review, Analysis, and test case creation

  • Test case maintenance in compliance with software evolution, requirements, and traceability tracking

  • Detailed analysis of reported problems, bug analysis, bug verification, and tracking. Perform regular reviews and conduct retrospection meetings to achieve high-quality results.

  • Independently handle both Vehicle testing and bench testing request.

  • Collaborate with various test teams to improvise and evolve existing test strategies.

  • Identify, plan, and perform manual and automated software testing. Perform session-based exploratory testing.

  • Identify, plan, and perform endurance-based testing or life testing to verify functionality over a long period of ignition cycles.

  • Identify software issues and transfers problem issues into the issue tracking system with supporting log files and data.

  • Record, process, and analyze data with PC-based tools and test instrumentation.

  • Participate in internal and customer workshops. Provide technical support for the resolution of various customer and interdepartmental issues on an as-needed basis.

  • Engage in internal and external test drives involving customer participation.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other similar specialization

  • 5+ years Testing experience.

  • 2 years of experience MNO technical testing of 3GPP user equipment or comparable discipline.

  • Good understanding of Embedded System and Automotive Products.

  • Good understanding of Automotive Infotainment systems.

  • Understand the SW and HW architecture of various platform variants.

  • Have a good understanding of the technical aspects of a wide range of equipment, including computers, software, and hardware.

  • Broad technical background with general knowledge of cellular technology, Bluetooth, WiFi and automotive requirements.

  • Good knowledge and understanding of the different Telematics domains like E-Call, 4G/5G, Wifi, BT and experience in wireless device testing, LTE, WCDMA , GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSxPA, WLAN technologies.

  • Good experience in system test methods, processes, error management and tools.

  • Familiar with Jira, Confluence, MS Office, and database administration tools

  • Team player skills with a “can do” attitude.

  • Understanding about diagnosis topics of a vehicle and about diagnostic communication protocols used in electronic control units.

  • Knowledge of the V-model software development process

  • ISTQB Certification and ASPICE knowledge

  • Programming knowledge is a plus.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Working knowledge of Android and Linux

  • Experience in Agile/SCRUM

  • HW experience with configuration different setups

  • Knowledge in ALM is beneficial.

  • Experience in Python testing

Pay Transparency

The above represents the annual gross base salary range for this role.
