Job Description
At ENGIE, we believe the energy transition starts with connected, secure, and resilient infrastructure. Our Global Business Support IT teams keep the digital backbone running so that thousands of colleagues worldwide can deliver on that promise every day.
We are looking for a Change Manager to join our Network Operating Center (NOC) Front Office in Bucharest. In this role, you will own the ITIL change management process for our Network & Connectivity service line, safeguarding production stability while enabling over 1,200 changes per year across data centers, cloud platforms, and remote sites. Your coordination skills will directly protect the performance of the networks and security services our business relies on.
What You'll Do
- Own and animate the weekly NAC Change Advisory Board (CAB), assessing criticality, risk, and impact of every change to protect production environments.
- Prepare and present high-risk changes at the two weekly transverse GBS IT CABs, keeping the change calendar accurate across all validation committees.
- Run weekly focus meetings with Group entities and support the America CAB to coordinate activities in Mexico and Chile.
- Plan operations, reserve resources, and guide change requesters by clarifying and simplifying their requests for all stakeholders.
- Pilot infrastructure maintenance weekends and regular Disaster Recovery tests for the NAC service line.
- Structure, industrialize, and continuously improve the change management process and its tooling in ServiceNow and MyPortal.
- Produce operational reporting on change volumes, success rates, failed and emergency changes, and trends for NOC management and Service Delivery Managers.
What You Bring
- A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Three to five years of experience in network and security operations or IT service management within complex infrastructure environments.
- Solid command of ITIL change management, including CAB animation, change calendars, and risk and impact assessment. Working knowledge of incident and problem management is a plus.
- Good general understanding of network and security technologies such as LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, proxy, Wi-Fi, DNS, and cloud connectivity on AWS and Azure.
- Proficiency with ServiceNow, MyPortal, and CMDB, combined with a drive to automate and industrialize processes.
- Excellent ability to synthesize complex topics, challenge change requesters constructively, and communicate risks clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Rigorous, reliable, and structured, with strong analytical skills and the confidence to drive decisions under time pressure. Fluency in French and English is mandatory; Spanish is a strong plus.
Location
Bucharest, Romania — Matei Millo site. This is a hybrid position. Home working is possible within the coordination needs of the Front Office activity. Occasional travel may be required.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary package with clear career progression within ENGIE's global IT organization.
- A diverse scope of missions: from CAB governance and stakeholder coordination to process automation and Disaster Recovery piloting.
- Stimulating, high-impact work at the crossroads of network operations, cybersecurity, and cloud services.
- A friendly, multicultural team of over 40 professionals who value collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Flexibility and work-life balance through our hybrid working model.
- The opportunity to collaborate internationally with teams in Europe and Latin America.
